Organize Your Thoughts With This Technique!

Stress comes when millions of things are hovering in your mind. You know this feeling, very irritating and tiring. Sometimes you just wish that you could store all of those thoughts in one place so you won't bother letting them stay on your mind.

But wait.

That is possible to do that right?

Writing on your journal is one of your best tools to recover from disorganized thoughts. When you want to remember something, it is much easier to read it again on your notes rather than searching it up on your mind, you'll just end up getting lost and confused. There is a Chinese proverb that says "The faintest ink is more powerful than the strongest memory". So if you want to recall something, especially things with specific details, write it down!

Keeping a journal is also proven to improve your writing skills. Well, that is if you put an effort into developing that skill though. It is just liking sharpening your axe before you cut down a tree. The more you give time into writing, the more it improves also. This is also the best moment to write down your goals and plans in life. As stated by Mark Murphy, CEO of Leadership IQ and the author of Hiring For Attitude, "Writing things down doesn’t just help you remember, it makes your mind more efficient by helping you focus on the truly important stuff. And your goals absolutely should qualify as truly important stuff."

Lastly, writing boost your memory! If you write something by hand, all that complex sensory information increases the chances the knowledge will be stored for later. In short, writing by hand forces your brain to process information in a more detailed way, which helps you successfully load that information into your memory. (LifeSavvy)

Keeping a journal have more benefits than the ones already mentioned. But as much as to say, it really helps you relieved your mind from anxiety. It is just like cleaning up the trash and putting it in a bin, except those things in your mind almost always are not just trash, it could be treasures that you can put on your journal chest which you can get back to anytime you need it.
